Dr Naomi Law – MA, DClinPsych – Clinical Psychologist
I’m a Clinical Psychologist working with adults in private practice and in the NHS. I have over 8 years NHS experience and have worked in a range of services with people with difficulties from depression and anxiety, to psychosis and personality disorder, to chronic pain and IBS. I am registered with the HCPC and abide by their code of practice and ethics. I am also a qualified and BPC-registered Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) Practitioner.
I draw on a range of models including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dynamic interpersonal therapy (DIT), mentalisation-based therapy (MBT) and compassion-focused therapy (CFT). Common to all of my work is a focus on relationships, both the relationship that we have with ourselves and with others.
I believe that by having the space and time to explore these relationships with someone who can listen, understand and make connections, with warmth and lack of judgement, people can find different perspectives on or new ways of managing their difficulties. I can work with you on a short- or long-term basis depending on what is right for you.
